Israel warns Gaza Residents to Evacuate or Suffer Disaster

According to BBC News, Israel has urged thousands of Palestinians in eastern and northern Gaza to leave their homes as the Israeli Army will continue air strikes - despite Egypt's intervention.

Reports claim there was an Egyptian truce initiative on Tuesday - but it has failed to halt rocket attacks on Israel by Hamas militants and other groups.
And Israel, which had its first fatality on Tuesday, said senior Hamas militants had died in strikes on Gaza overnight.

Chelsea's Jose Mourinho appointed UN Ambassador


Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been appointed as an Ambassador Against Hunger for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).

Mourinho will use his status to raise awareness about WFP's life-saving work and champion the Zero Hunger Challenge, which aims to eliminate hunger in our lifetimes, and has said he will visit Africa over the summer to lend his support to the campaign.

'Supporting the work of the World Food Programme on the frontlines of hunger is a personal decision about a cause that is very close to the hearts of me and my family,' the Chelsea manager said.

United Nations Issue Warning To Boko Haram


In a news briefing in Geneva on Tuesday, United Nations human rights spokesman, Rupert Colville, issued warning to the deadly Islamic sect Boko Haram - about the punishment of their inhumane acts, should the world take up the case.

The Islamic sect, who are holding over 200 northern teenage girls hostage, reportedly hijacked another school bus of children at Nyanya - a suspicious scene for their treacherous deeds - on Tuesday.
