Low's side have been functional rather than flamboyant in the tournament, defending efficiently and producing effective goal-scoring results; with attacking midfielder, Thomas Muller, leading the line and the 36-year-old Miroslav Klose operating as an impact substitute.
Whilst Raul applauded the efficient manner in which the Germans have made their way through the tournament, he, however, feels they are limited in attack.
"There was a warning in that performance (against France), as for the first time in the tournament they
demonstrated their ruthlessly efficient side, with the midfielders taking control early and not letting it slip," he said in his column for Times of India.
"But what I miss in this German squad is a poacher like Jurgen Klinsmann or Rudi Voller in the box. We grew up watching them.
"Klose is among the World Cup greats and one has to respect a striker who, with 15 goals, is the competition's joint-highest scorer of all-time. But he is 36 and it's unfair to expect from him now what he
did in the past."
As Germany face host Brazil in the Semi-final clash scheduled to hold on Tuesday, June 8, the former Real Madrid man has also called on Fred and Hulk to deliver their best - since Neymar has been ruled out.
