Champions League: What To Expect In The Semi Finals

With the success of the UEFA Champions League draw which took place at Nyon, Switzerland, a wonderful set of matches is set to come.

Former Madrid star Luis Figo was in the house to carry out what he was paid to do. Here is the fixture list following the draw:

Atletico Madrid vs Chelsea
Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich

Both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will be playing the first leg as the home team, at the Bernabeu and the Vicente Calderon respectively.

Madrid have a good attacking spirit but are porous in defense like Borrusia Dortmund clearly proved during the quarter second-leg meeting. A repeat of such indiscipline could cost them against Bayern.

Blues would face an Atleti squad that evicted Barcelona in the quarter finals. However, as Figo clearly stated before the draw, Atletico are the least experienced team amongst these last four. This may surely count against them when they face a highly tactical Champions League team of Jose Mourinho.

Nonetheless, the two Madrid teams can save themselves elimination and much stress by not conceding a goal in their home.

The semi final first leg matches will hold on April 22 and 23 - with second leg following the next week.
