Nigerian Film Producer Dies Of Asthma Attack

Nigerian film maker, Amaka Igwe, who produced the wonderful soap operas 'Checkmate' and 'Fuji House Of Commotion'  is dead. She reportedly died of an asthma attack in her home town Enugu on Monday night.

Amaka was one of the foremost movie directors in Nigeria and she had a celluloid film titled' A Barber’s Wisdom' - a film which was part of M-Net’s new direction on film project with Nigerian producers.

A report on her death read:

She suffered an asthma attack and was immediately rushed to the hospital after initial interventions had failed.’ said a statement gotten via The Net.


‘She passed on before getting to the hospital’.  Amaka Igwe was in Enugu to work on a new soap opera died after suffering an Asthma attack.

A native of Obinagu - Enugu, Nigeria, Amaka is survived by her husband and children.
