Real Love

The word 'love' has no universally accepted definition, however, there are unanimously agreed characteristics of real love.

-Real love is very patient, it endures.

-Real love does not boast, it has good motives.

-Real love is kind, it is friendly and generous.
-Real love does not envy, though it admires, it is not envious.

-Real love vaunts not itself, it does not brag.

-Real love does not behave rudely nor unseemingly, it has manners.

-Real love is gentle, it is not easily provoked.

-Real love is slow to speak, it does not talk much.

-Real love bears all things, it tolerates what men call 'nonsense'.

-Real love believes all things, it does not doubt.

-Finally, real love is ever glowing, it does not fade.

With these few characteristics, are we truly walking in the light of real love?

Do we possess those attributes of genuine love, not lust?

Our prayer for you is that God grants you the Grace to practise and witness real love. (Amen)
