Things are to be used and people are to be loved.

We stumbled upon an interesting article which, we believe, is highly important since it reflects our day-to-day actions as humans. Hence, we deemed it necessary to share a summary of it with our viewers.

 Here is the touching story:

A father was polishing his brand new car; with his 6-year-old son beside him. Being naive, the little boy picked up a stone and scratched lines on the side of the car. But in anger, the father took the child's hand and hit it several times - not realizing he was using a wrench. After punishing his own son to his fill, the man realized he had caused harm to his little boy. He immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital - where the doctor confirmed the child had lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures.

When the child saw his father, with painful eyes he asked: 'Dad when will my fingers grow back?' The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times - devastated by his own actions. And sitting in front of that car, he carefully looked at the scratches; the child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'. This was uncalled for; he realized. From that very moment, he was filled with guilt. The guilt of valuing his car more than his own son.  The guilt of loving his 'material car' and using his own baby.

Anger and Love have no limits. They can be stirred up and quenched at any given time. However, it is wiser you choose the latter - in order to have a beautiful, lovely life.

Things are to be used and people are to be loved. The problem in the world today is that, people are used and things are loved. To maintain a right balance between things and people  in the world, we have to carefully consider our actions - whilst bearing in mind that: Things are to be used and people are to be loved. Not the other way round!

Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Fellows, we have to understand that humans are to be valued than things, regardless of how valuable such thing tend to be. Treat your fellow humans as ends and not as means!
